Pierre's Costumes

Les Misérables Show Design at Pierre’s

We are in the thick of show season here at Pierre’s, and we would like to take a little time to show you some of the “behind the scenes” of theatre season!

During the Spring months we send out hundreds of costumes a week for multiple shows. Our clients range anywhere from Middle Schools to Opera Companies, who can rent anywhere from 10-100 costumes for their show.

When an order comes in, all sizes are written on tags. Our theatre director works with the costume designers on staff to choose costumes for each tag that reflect the director’s notes and the costume plot for each show.

After all of the costumes and accessories are “pulled” from the warehouse, they come to the workroom, where the staff checks each costume to make sure it will fit the actor. Also, any alterations or repairs are done. Sometimes we will create custom pieces if the director requests something specific. After the check is done, the costumes are bagged and inventoried for pick-up.

Check out this photo gallery of our staff working on a production of Les Misérables, which has been a very popular show this year because of the success of the recent movie release.

Thanks for visiting our blog and be sure to check back for more updates as we continue with our Spring 2013 show season! If you would like to book a show with us please give our Theatre Director a call or send us an e-mail!
